On being bold

Dec 30, 2025, 2:01 AMbrightland
Dear none,

Seven years ago, I was sitting at my kitchen table with a notebook and a lot of uncertainty.

I was not a chef, influencer, or celebrity. I was simply someone who cared deeply about food and believed California olive oil deserved to be made with care, integrity, and pride.

That day, I wrote out what Brightland could be. I also wrote a note dated December 31, looking back on the year as if it had already happened.

When I found that note later, I was shocked by how much of it came true.

After that, I stopped consciously manifesting and went into building mode. Heads down, hands busy, focused on the daily work of growing a real company.

As we move into 2026, Brightland is entering a reset. We are slowing down, sharpening our focus, and being more intentional about where we say yes, and more importantly, where we say no.

So I returned to that practice.

I recently wrote a note dated December 31, 2026, describing the year as if it had already happened. Not in a magical way, but in a clear and grounded one.

I want to invite you to do the same.

You do not need permission to be bold. You do not need a title to imagine something better. You only need the willingness to name what you want and show up for it, quietly and consistently.

If it feels right, write a note dated December 31, 2026. Describe the year you hope you have lived. Then put it away and begin.

Warmly,
Aishwarya
